A Curated Approach to Healthy Skin Finds a Nourishing Home in Martinsburg

September 2, 2019

Seriously: who doesn’t want the healthiest, most radiant skin they’ve ever had?

Impossible? No. But it does involve the right approach. And one local licensed esthetician has maximized a passion for a (w)holelistic approach that will absolutely help you achieve your skin goals—all within a safe, healing space where you can expect a boutique service delivered with respect and kindness.

Chelsea McBee opened Wholelistic Esthetics in 2018 and has since been helping client after client discover how to care for their skin, protect it from future damage, and, ultimately, “love the skin they’re in.” She also recently moved her popular shop to its convenient new location at 218 South Maple Avenue in downtown Martinsburg, and couldn’t be more excited for both the business and her clientele.

“My approach to skin care is based in the holistic concept that everything is connected,” she explained. “We can’t begin to fully understand the things that ail us without engaging in the whole being. With each consultation, we dig a little deeper to discuss a client’s desired results as well as how diet, stress, and overall skin care affect those results.”

What you’ll find at Wholelistic Esthetics is an educated professional with “magic hands” and high-performance botanical and science-backed skin care—comprising services that include: facials, lash & brow enhancement, waxing, lightstem LED, as well as a range of services for men. What you won’t find are scalpels or botox.

McBee is also Oncology Trained through Oncology Spa Solutions, which means she is professionally capable of modifying treatments so that cancer survivors and clients going through active anti-cancer therapies (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery) can safely receive facial and skin care treatments.

“My client’s time is very important to me; I strive to make sure that each appointment is on time and that each person has my undivided attention,” she affirmed. “I know how busy everyone is, and how hard it can be to carve out personal time. So I aim to create as convenient, seamless, and rewarding an experience as I can. The one-on-one, curated experience is what I provide—and what people seem to both need and enjoy.”

McBee added that feedback to the new shop so far has been very positive, with a nod towards how much easier it is to access the space—especially given the on-street parking out front and on surrounding streets.
