Watching The Jefferson County Commission — News, Issues & Analysis

The Jefferson County Commission consists of 5 commissioners each elected for a 6 year term.

  • Middleway District: Jane Tabb (elected 2018, term expires Dec 2024)
  • Kabletown District: Steve Stolipher (elected 2020, term expires Dec 2026)
  • Harpers Ferry District: vacant*
  • Charles Town District: Pasha Majdi (appointed Dec 2023, appointment expires Nov 2024)
  • Shepherdstown District: vacant*

*Tricia Jackson (Harpers Ferry) and Jennifer Krouse (Shepherdstown) were removed from office on May 1 2024 by a panel of 3 Circuit Court judges. This special judicial panel was appointed by the West Virginia Supreme Court in response to a petition brought by Matt Harvey, the county’s Prosecuting Attorney that alleged “official misconduct and neglect of duty.” Jackson and Krouse are also facing separate criminal proceedings in Magistrate Court related to the actions that triggered the petition for removal.
