What specific experience and expertise do you have that is relevant to performing the role of County Clerk?

My lifelong residency and thirty-five-year employment with Jefferson County has provided me incredible insight into the issues facing this county. Because I began my career in the Jefferson County Clerk’s office, I have deep institutional knowledge of the duties of the County Clerk.  With my proven record of community involvement, I have built trust and formed many meaningful connections with constituents across all walks of life.

What are the most important issues you expect the County Clerk’s office will need to address in the next few years?

I believe the County Clerk’s office needs leadership that is present, leadership that will improve unity within county government.

What are your priorities for how the County Clerk’s office operates?

I will be a hands-on County Clerk and work side by side and support staff. The records belong to the people. Safeguarding records and elections will be our main priority.

Why should voters vote for you?

I will strive to serve the public with excellence and accuracy. I have positive and well-established working relationships with several current elected officials and constituents.  I have a genuine interest in the role of County Clerk, and my candidacy is rooted in serving others, not myself.  By being a former county employee, I have a great deal of practice of being a team player, integrity and trust.  I will not waste time and county resources with personal conflicts.
