If you can’t run, walk – and if walking is an effort, WVU Medicine has a free program to help you get started. The “Walk With Ease” program was developed for people with arthritis but is open to all. The only requirement is to be able to stand for 10 minutes without pain. The six week program will teach strategies to walk safely and comfortably, increase stamina, flexibility and balance, reduce pain, and increase your overall health.

Offered at two locations this fall:

At Jefferson Medical Center Pavilion in Ranson, Aug 30 to Oct 11 (Mondays, except Labor Day) at noon and;

At War Memorial Park in Martinsburg, Sep 7 to Oct 12 (Tuesdays) at 5:30.

For more information or to register, call 304-264-1287, extension 31814 or email dana.dejarnett@wvuMedicine.org.
